Seton-representatives to speak at IQPC conference on application of Ultrasound tracking system

At the IQPC 6th RFID, Barcoding & Emerging Technologies for Hospitals and Health Systems there will be held two case study sessions about ultrasound technology for tracking purposes.

Bob Schaefer, Technology Lead, Biomedical Engineering and Ray Mechler, Director of Network Material Services from Seton Family of Hospitals explain why they chose the Sonitor® ultrasound indoor positioning system (IPS) for asset monitoring rather than using other technologies. They will also go through an overview of the application project, and talk about unforeseen challenges and benefits.


The other ultrasound case study session at this conference will be held by CEO and President of Sonitor Technologies, Inc. who will elaborate on the benefits of location accuracy, explain the differences between ultrasound and other RTLS technologies and how to leverage a patient tracking system infrastructure for operational and workflow improvements.


Both sessions are held on the first day of the main conference, Tuesday 25th of September.


The IQPC 6th RFID, Barcoding & Emerging Technologies for Hospitals and Health Systems looks into implementing tracking technologies for improved process efficiency, patient safety and risk reduction. The conference takes place in the Hub Cira Centre in Philadelphia, PA September 24-26.
