Sonitor Technologies AS announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Jorn Husemoen to the post of Chief Executive Officer.
Husemoen, who has been the company’s CFO since January 2007, succeeds Ragnar Bo who has been Sonitor’s CEO the last seven years. Bo will assume the position of Executive Vice President, Business Development.

He also adds: "Jorn’s extensive experience from world-wide technology focused business combined with his strong strategic and operational capabilities, makes him uniquely suitable for the CEO role.”
Founder and chairman of Sonitor, Ole B. Hovind, expresses similar satisfaction with Jorn’s appointment: “The two years as CFO and engagement at Sonitor Technologies, Inc in USA, has provided Jorn an excellent introduction to our business. Jorn has, together with the Management Team and Board of Directors, been essential in carving out the strategic direction for the company and developing the industrial vision we are now executing.”
Jorn Husemoen has 14 years experience from the telecommunication industry working internationally for Ericsson both in the Mobile infrastructure business as well as the Mobile Handset business. Prior to joining Sonitor, Husemoen was based in China and India for nine years.
“Our unique tracking and location technology will be an important component for a large number of industrial partners and software companies in the years to come, and I am honored to be provided this opportunity to lead Sonitor’s growth and global expansion,” says Husemoen. "I'm thrilled with the opportunities before us where our world-class R&D team and our IP in the field of acoustics are leveraged for very precise location and context aware applications, which will serve a global marketplace of businesses and partners with growing needs for a robust, accurate and inexpensive tracking technology for complex indoor environments,” Husemoen concludes.
